21st CCLC Summer Camp

Summer is a time for fun, adventure and relaxation. But did you also know it can be a time for brain drain? In fact, summer learning loss-as it's commonly referred to-can cause students to lose two to three months of math and reading skills according to experts at the National Summer Learning Association. You can learn more about Summer Learning loss by visiting the NSLA website. www.summerlearning.org

That's why we offer six-week summer camp programs beginning in June. At R2S camp, kids can expect activities and projects that activate their imagination, promote teamwork and require hands-on learning. Our certified teachers provide an in-depth and fun approach to continuing to build academic skills of all students during the summer months. Weekly field trips will ensure kids make the most of their summer vacation by allowing them to discover Miami's top attractions and learn exciting facts along the way.

In order to participate, students must have already completed their kindergarten year. Students who just completed fifth grade and are middle-school bound may still participate. Registration opens in May and will fill up quickly. Those interested in R2S Summer Camp must submit completed application in person and attend Welcome Orientation in order to secure a spot.
